Chrysalis is an Evangelistic concept
with the vision to meet people where they're
at, taking the Gospel beyond the four walls of the church and out into the community in which we live. One of the main ways this is achieved is through an entertaining and powerful cabaret- style first step introduction to the Gospel.
Chrysalis was founded in 1991
by members of a number of local churches as a non-threatening, outreach presentation, the chief aim being to break down the barriers and misconceptions that people often have about Christianity. Using all aspects of the performing arts, and
presented in the relaxed style of a cabaret, people come to enjoy an evening's entertainment whilst absorbing the Christian perspective on the specific theme being presented. Through the ministry of Chrysalis there has been a real break-through in 'friendship evangelism', as people see Christianity as it is; fun, real, relevant, powerful and life changing.
Many Churches
Have recognised the fact that they need to meet people on their own ground yet feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the task. Chrysalis Arts Trust was formed in 1995 to encourage and resource churches to meet people where they are at and to further the ministry of Chrysalis in churches, schools and prisons nationwide: with specific
training to equip other churches to present their own Chrysalis events.
